Terrazza delle Quadrighe in Rome
Le Terrazze del Vittoriano - this is a place with a stunning view from the top of the Terrazza delle Quadrighe. Thanks to the panoramic lifts opened in 2007, you can climb to the highest point of the Vittoriano museum complex, and here you can admire Rome in 360°. Views of beautiful Piazza Venezia, majestic Colosseum and the Imperial Fora like Foro di Traiano, Foro di Cesare, the historic center of ancient city.
The terrace gets its name from two 11-meter high bronze chariots set on top of two propylae. To the east is the Quadriga del Unita by the Carrara sculptor Carlo Fontana (1909-1927). To the west stands the Quadriga della Liberta by the Roman sculptor Paolo Bartolini (1909-1927).
