Via della Madonna dei Monti, Roma
Via della Madonna dei Monti is a street in rione Monti, (Municipio Roma I), in Rome.
Via della Madonna dei Monti connects Via dei Serpenti with Via di Tor de 'Conti and takes its name from the church of Santa Maria dei Monti. The road roughly follows the very ancient Roman route that connected the Roman Forum with the Suburra.
At the corner of Via dei Neofiti stands the church of San Salvatore ai Monti, dating back to the 11th century. Continuing to explore the street, we find on the left a group of houses located between numbers 83 and 95, these are the 17th and 18th centuries, which greatly contribute to the atmosphere that we often look for in the corners of Rome.
There are many atmospheric cafes and bars here, one of them is well-know La Casetta a Monti, at Via della Madonna dei Monti 62.
Wine bar called Fafiuchè working since 2007, located at Via della Madonna dei Monti 28.
Traditional family-run restaurant La Taverna dei Fori Imperiali, since 2001, Via della Madonna dei Monti 9.
